I have been taking my car to get it fixed because the check engine light kept coming on. It has been since July. First the engine started stalling after putting in gas. I had it towed 2 times. Then they said they could not find anything wrong. This car was wrecked before I bought it. First they put on a gas cap then an alternator. Then a Evap canister solenoid.

Question: I have a 2000 chevy malibu LS 3.1 L V6 and cant get the cv axle off the transaxle spindle .
Answer: Do you mean you cannot get the axle to come out of the
transmission? If so, you need to use 2 pry bars 180 degrees apart from each other. Get them between the axle and the transmission and pry evenly. You need to sort of "pop" it out.

Question: where is the ignition module located on a 2004 Chevy Malibu classic?
Answer: The ignition module location on your Chevy Malibu Classic depends on the engine size. Most Malibu Classic's ( 2004 was a strange year) are the 2.4L Ecotec four cylinder. In that case, the ignition module is located on top of the ignition coil housing.

My story is about a 2001 Chevy Malibu. For the longest time i have had the theft light come on the dash now and again and the car would not start. I found a relearn procedure on the web. the one that you turn the key on for 10 minutes a few times, then it resets and I can start the car. Finally took it to a mechanic.
