Low coolant and instrument panel lights problem, trans leak

2001 Chevrolet Malibu

Question: my low coolant light is on constantly , even when my engine isn't hot and is full of fluids. How can I make it go off?

Answer: The most common cause for the low coolant light always on is that the level sensor is bad. It is located in the reservoir tank or on the side of the radiator depending on which engine size you have.

Question: My instrument panel will not light sometimes and then other times will slowly illuminate on and off how to fix.

Answer: you could have a problem inside the instrument gauges cluster or a faulty dimmer switch. You would need to do voltage test on the output side of the dimmer switch to make sure it varies as you turn the switch. If it does, the problem is inside the instrument cluster. That would need to be removed and sent out of repairs, or have a new one installed.

Question: I  replaced my radiator, when putting the transmission line back into the rad, I believe it wasn't put in straight so I am leaking tranie fluid from the transmission line. How to fix it?

Answer: Remove the line and straighten it. If that does not help, replace the fitting inside the radiator.
