Problem with my 2005 Chevy Equinox v6. Repair work done prior = none beside basic preventative maintenance.
Question = I have a growling noise in my rear of the vehicle. As I start to speed up it starts then around 30-50mph it get really loud. As I slow down in starts to stop then at 10 I don't really hear it.
Answer: A growl noise could be a tire noise.
More likely a hub bearing. These usually change when you are driving and turning. Example- Highway off ramp turning right, noise would either get louder or softer. Same with turning left. If this is a 4 wheel drive Equinox, it could be a noise in the rear differential. This would require a Tech to inspect very carefully to determine the fault.
Chevy Equinox Bad Gas Mileage
MY 2006 CHEVY EQUINOX LS SEEMS TO DRINK A LOT OF GAS AND A SENSOR KEEPS COMING ON, BUT EVERY TIME I GO GET THE COMPUTER HOOKED UP TO IT ALL IS SAYS IS GAS SENSITIVITY SOMETHING.
The term " Fuel Sensitivity" is not a phrase related to any codes. The key to poor fuel economy is to scan the computer codes and give us the number in order for us to help with this problem. The code would be in the format of " PXXXX " related to the emissions system.
