i have a 2008 Chevy Equinox, does the stabilitrak have anything to do with the power steering? I replaced the battery then the service stabilitrak message appeared and steering became almost impossible.
Answer: Sounds like you have a common problem of a blown Mega-Fuse. This happens quite a bit on the Chevy Equinox when changing the battery or jump starting it.
It is possible that you accidentally arced one of the battery cable, namely the positive cable. Or, just t=he fact of removing and installing the cables made a spark and caused this fuse to blow.
