1997 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 L Ecotec.
Question: Won't start . no spark, and no fuel, when cranking engine. changed crankshaft sensor, and a couple of others, with no luck. could you give me some advice on what could be the problem ?
Answer: You could have a ignition module that is shorted out, or possibly a bad PCM. If there is no check engine light on the dash, I'd lean more towards a bad PCM, but even if there is, it could still be bad. Check all the fuses as well, that's usually a first step anyway. Since you have no spark or fuel, I wouldn't expect it to be any other sensor besides a crank sensor. Since it is new, that leads to either the module or computer since they control both. A check of the wiring might help too, looking for broken or chaffed wires and loose connections. If you end up needing to replace the computer, it will need to be programmed at a Chevy dealer.
