I've just replaced the head and intake gaskets on a 1998 Pontiac Montana 3400 engine and now it wont start it is acting like its out of time. Help.

What is the best method to remove the inside bottom cover of the tailgate on my 2006 Pontiac Minivan? I put a dent in the rear tailgate just to the right and slightly below the license plate. I was backing up when I hit a pickup with an extended trailer hitch, which I didn't see. I have gotten estimates to repair the damage, but the estimates seem to be way out of line for the small dent that is in the tailgate.
