Computer codes- P0300.Repairs- Replaced spark plugs, catalytic converter, battery, all filters, all electronics.I'm having multiple cylinder misfires and am wondering what in the world to do. I've come across one cylinder misfire and fixed it no prob but I'm having multiple and I'm not used to working on Pontiacs. What can i do?

Question: gear shift won't shift out of park, engine, abs and brake lights on and engine runs but no acceleration, all happened at the same time. Have been able to shift by inserting a small screw driver into the slot on the passenger side of the console.

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. Lately, when it is cold out, the car won't start. I put the key into the ignition, turn the key, the lights and radio come on...but nothing else. No clicking no turning over of the engine...nothing. If I wait for 30 - 120 seconds then try again, it will start no problem. I have had the problem in the past with the security pass through module...which is kind of like this,
Charging problem with my 1999 Pontiac Grand Am.
Engine size = 3.4 V6
Dash lights = Battery light
Repair work done prior = Replaced new alternator - twice
Work done to repair this problem = Replaced Crank pulley, Power steering pulley and crank sensor
question = After replacing the crank and power steering pulleys along with the crank sensor, I started the engine and the battery light stays on. I checked the battery and found it to be low so I charged fully and reinstalled it along with a new rebuilt alternator from Autozone.
2001 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2L Ecotec.
Question : My Pontiac has the check engine light on. I had the a scan of the codes from Autozone and the mechanic said it was P0171 lean exhaust system. The traction control light is also on the dash. He said the code could have also set the traction lights. Car seems to run and idle good.
I have a Pontiac Grandam 2.4 Lire. The ETS light comes on by itself when engine is warm with or without check engine light coming on. The check engine codes vary from P0171, P0134, P0125. Severe black smoke from the exhaust when ETS light on very poor gas mileage when on. Starts fine cold or normal. Great performance when lights are off. New Stuff: MAP hose, Cat. Both O2 sensors, Plugs & wires. Can't seem to find any vacuum leaks. 180,000Kms Any hints where to look? Air valve maybe?

Question: i have a security light that sometimes comes on when i start the car ,i usually just turn the ignition off and restart and it's gone but this morning the car stalled and would not restart right away and the security light was blinking what causes this?

Question: My car made a loud banging noise and increased when i pushed on the gas pedal and gained speed. Mechanic tells me I need a whole new motor? Is that correct? I only have 140,000 km's on it.

My grand am is leaking water out the over flow hose there is no water in my oil it runs hot about every two weeks or so i have to put water int it my water pump will lock up causing my car to loose power steering for a few seconds. Is this my water pump going bad.
2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.4l V6. Security light on. After it starts for about 2 seconds and dies.
The car will start and die after about 2 seconds. Has a anti theft code in computer.The security light will stay on after the car dies. Have tried to relearn it as a temp fix but the light will not go out. Have waited as long as 20 mins. The door locks are not working either or trunk lock on drivers door. The key fob is not working either (battery may be dead in it).
I own a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. It has the 3.4L V6 motor. When I turn the heat or the air on it does not blow out. I can feel heat or the A/C coming through the vents. It's just not blowing. I thought it was the blower motor resistor. But after replacing the old one it still does the same thing. And every now and then it will randomly kick on.
My daughter has this Pontiac Grand Am at college about 45 miles from home. She called me and said her blower motor quit blowing in the middle of winter. I had her bring it home on Friday evening so I could check it out. The fuse in the passenger compartment was OK. The 30 amp fuse in the engine compartment was blown. I put a new one in and when I turned on the blower motor it instantly blew again.

ABS and Brake Lights on changed wheel sensor,complete master cylinder and motor,and controller. ETS light went out but rest of lights stayed on I checked wires . They are OK. What will straighten this out.
