Question: The Chrysler Town and Country van has the electric door package. The front doors work just fine.
The rear doors will not open or unlock when the button on the remote is pushed. I checked the battery, not the issue. When I wanted to open the rear doors prior I would hit the respective door button on the remote and the door would open. Now, the door lock buttons will not pop up and the doors will not open.
I noticed that if I lift the door lock by hand and then I hit the door button on the remote it will open. Also, when I try and hit the rear door button on the overhead console, when the rear doors are locked they still will not work.
If the buttons are up and I hit the overhead console button they will open. By the way, the electric rear gate works just fine. So, to condense this issue... The locks on the rear doors will not release but the electric doors will open if I lift the buttons manually. Will close by the remote and the overhead console button but the doors will not lock when I hit the door locks on the drivers side door or on remote button.Any suggestions as to what part(s) need to be replaced? All advice will be greatly appreciated.
Answer: I would have to say the main problem with those electric side doors is the fact that they will not unlock. The electric opening function will not work if the doors are locked. So by you manually lifting the lock to unlock the door and it works, says that all the electrical part of the door opening function is working fine. Sounds like you just have a regular door lock problem. First things first, be sure to check all the fuses. I believe there is also a relay that is for the rear doors but has nothing to do with the front.
You might want to replace that or swap it out with another one just like it in the fuse box since the front door locks work fine. Aside from that you going you need a schematic in a test light to see why those rear doors will unlock. It could be that both locks in both doors are bad but that would be hard to have them both failed same time. Unless one was out for a while and then the other one went bad before you knew you had to at the same time.
Window Regulator Repair Cost
What would be a fair price to repair a driver side window regulator on a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country Van?
Answer: That would depend on if getting the window regulator repaired at the dealer or a local shop. Expect to pay $400-$500 at the dealer, cheaper at a local shop. Local mechanics always less because a lower labor rate and non-factory parts when available.
Chrysler Sebring Will Not start

Question: my car will not start, have charged battery, cleaned terminals, will not crank over, have new battery in it. Everything in it works when i turn the key on except the radio and the wipers and the turn signals. Need a lot of help!!
Answer: Be sure to check all fuses. You may have one or more blown. You would need to test for power at the starter when turning the key to crank. With the fact that radio and wipers do not work, if all fuses are good, you may have a wiring problem or an bad ignition switch. You would need a wiring diagram and test light to check for power out of the ignition switch on all the appropriate circuits. Also check the neutral safety switch. An easy way to do this is to put it in reverse and make sure the reverse lights come on. If the switch is bad, it would not allow power to the starter solenoid.
