Answer: Looks like you've covered just about everything there is, except the big one. Basically, the only thing left would be a blown cylinder head gasket. Have seen this many times on the 3400 engines over the years. Usually it's just the back cylinder head,
2005 Chevy Impala. Question: The Temperature Gage goes pass the 220 mark and kicks down, but when turning the heater on, does not give out heat. It has to jump up several times pass the 220 mark before throwing out heat in the car. I had the car tested and it came back with the po122 reading. What do I need to do to correct this problem?

Security light on 2003 Chevy Impala Issues with the Security light & car not starting. At times, it acts as if the car is possessed! We have had luck with turning the key into the start position & waiting 10 minutes & starting again. Yesterday after work, that did not work. I tried that 3 times with no luck. While waiting for a ride home, I tried turning the key one more time & the car started right off. Started this morning & when I left for lunch.
Question: My wife had a remote car starter installed about 3 weeks ago. 2 days ago there was a meltdown in the engine compartment. There was a ground wire attached to the fuse box near the battery that melted and melted some of the plastic sheeting around some of the wire harnesses (this wire goes from the ground on the fuse box along the fire wall and into the main car compartment via a hole near the steering column.
