A/C Vents Blow Cold on Passenger Side But Warm Drivers

Problem with my 1997 Buick.
Engine size = 3.3L V6.
Repairs for this problem = A/C compressor, orifice tube and drier replaced about 1 year ago. The problem I have is that when you turn the ac on the cool air only comes out the 2 vents on the passenger side. The 2 vents on the drivers side have warm air blowing out. A/C is controls are set to max air and max cold on the temp control.

Answer: Most common problem is a bad temperature door actuator if it does have dual zone A/C. This actuator controls the temperature door for that side. Dual zone systems have a temp door for each side.

If the car does not have dual zone climate control, this sounds like a problem that some mechanics miss. This problem is a low freon charge in the system. It will not be apparent if just looking at freon gauge pressures- they will be normal. But a system that is 1/2 pound low will cause the passenger side vents to blow cool or cold air, and the drivers side to be less cool or even warm on this car. There is simply not enough freon capacity in the system to cool the air to the drivers side. Only way to be sure is to drain and measure the freon in the system.

    Check the freon charge and then check the actuator motor.

    Where is the actuator for 2013 GL450. The driver side is not blowing cold air. It is temperament. Sometimes it will blow warm air, sometimes it will blow cold air. we just recharged the freon on April and today brought it to mercedes and the only fix they did is recharge the freon and they said it is working perfect. we just did that a few months ago.. Mercedes said, they couldnt find any leak. what could be the problem. I feel like, they just charge it so they can charge me money.
