Answer: First you need to get a scan of the computer codes. This can be done for free at most of the national parts store chains. This would give an indication as to what system is having a problem.

You may have a code for the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), a vacuum leak, MAP sensor, etc.

Question: car starts and runs 5 to 15 minutes then stops running everything else still works. after it sits 2 or 3 hours it will start then does the same thing over again?

Answer: You will need to find out what the engine is missing when it stalls ans won't start- Does is have spark, fuel pressure, fuel injector pulse? Too many possible causes. Could be an ignition module, crankshaft position sensor, computer, fuel pump, wiring to any of these, etc.
