1993 Volvo 850 GLT Wont' Start Without Starter Fluid

1993 Volvo 850 glt.
2.0 5 cylinder.
Replaced crank sensor and fuel pump.
Question: My car has pressure in fuel rail and has spark but it wont fire unless I spray some starter fluid into the intake, but only briefly. What can cause this problem.

Answer: It sounds like your fuel injectors are partially clogged. take one out and have it tested or you can get a fuel injection cleaning kit and clean them yourself.

They will look like the kits on this web page. They usually use a 16 ounce bottle of cleaner and connect to the pressure port on the fuel rail. There is also a clamp to close off the fuel return hose in most kits.

I think I bought mine at NAPA and it was a lot less than the ones on this page.

Oh and for a side note the fuel injection service offered at place like jiffy lube do not work. I saw them doing one once and they were injecting the cleaner into the intake through a vacuum line. The cleaner must go through the injector for it to do anything at all for the injector.
